Designer Tamara Efrat recommends applying to the OGS fellowship program in Boston:
In the summer of 2019, when I was five months pregnant, I decided to fly to Boston and participate in the OGS social impact entrepreneurship fellowship program. These were three intense, educational, and enriching months. It is a fully funded program, including flights, accommodation, food, and extras. The program lasts three months, during which you study courses from the Brandeis MBA program and receive a personal and group mentor. Some mentors were or still are CEOs of huge companies, founders of startups, Partners in large law firms, members of the Senate, and more. During the program, you have to join a participant in the group and develop an idea for the project together.
At the end of the program, most promising startups receive an initial investment to start the venture. I met Yuval Dishon there, and we founded Mon Terra, an ecological design project. Mon Terra produced products from recycled plastic from the gardening industry.
The program gave me tools and knowledge in the world of entrepreneurship. I met inspiring people, and, most importantly, I got a vast network that I still use today.
