This document explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on https://culturetreasures.com. For information about how we process personal data generally, please see our Privacy Policy – Culture Treasures Magazine.
1) What cookies are and why we use them
Cookies are small files stored in your browser that enable core site functionality, measurement and improvement of the browsing experience, operation of embedded content, and advertising and campaign effectiveness. We also use similar technologies (such as pixels and online identifiers).
We operate a Consent Management Platform (CMP): by default, non-essential cookies are blocked until you provide consent. You can update your preferences at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the site footer.
2) Cookie categories
- Essential – Core site operation, security, and preference/permission management.
- Performance/Analytics – Traffic measurement, usage analysis and content insights (e.g., Google Analytics 4).
- Marketing – Tailored advertising, affiliate attribution and campaign measurement.
- Functionality – Embedded content (YouTube/Vimeo), maps and interactive widgets (e.g., Stay22).
Important: The authoritative, up-to-date cookie inventory is available within the CMP and updates automatically based on the tools active on the site.
3) Examples of cookies/technologies
| Cookie/Technology | Provider | Category | General Purpose | Typical Duration |
| cookies_consent, wp_* | Site | Essential | Store consent choices and site settings | Session–12 months |
| _ga, _ga* | Google Analytics 4 | Performance/Analytics | Traffic and usage measurement | Up to 14 months |
| _fbp | Meta | Marketing | Campaign measurement / remarketing | Up to 3 months |

The table above is illustrative only. Actual cookie names and durations may vary depending on provider settings and the CMP configuration.
4) Loading third-party content
Embedded content (e.g., YouTube videos) and third-party widgets are loaded only after consent in the CMP or via a “click to load” button on the page, which explains that activation may set third-party cookies.
5) Changing preferences & deleting cookies
- You can update your choices at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.
- You can delete cookies via your browser settings. Deleting cookies may affect your browsing experience and require you to re-select preferences.
